NPC:/worry I see. I think I know why this whole thing started.

NPC:You've heard about the Akasch Invasion around the Ipnya Ridge, right? The presence of the Akasch caused an unusual energy to seep out from the Abyss under the sea.

NPC:Obviously, this had a tremendous effect on the ocean. I'm sure the ghost ships...were affected greatly, too.

NPC:The abyssal energy must have triggered something on the ghost ships. All that obsession with the treasure and the anger and frustration of being lost at sea... The ghost ships are even destroying themselves to get closer to land.

NPC:I had no idea that the energy was powerful enough to extend the curse all the way inland. Still, there was nothing I could have done.

NPC:Even sea creatures are terrified of the ghost ships' energy and are hiding. You should be careful as well.
