NPC:/contend I noticed the chicks start acting strangely again, and head back for those hills. When I looked up, I saw a Troodon staring at them from behind the fence! As soon as I spotted it, it ran off toward Rocknest valley.

NPC:/quarrel It all makes sense. We've noticed some smaller animals disappearing lately, without even a carcass left behind. I think the Troodon have been stealing them.

NPC:/sigh While I get these chicks calmed down, can you try to track the Troodon back to their nests? Do what you can to drive them off. They're smart animals; maybe if we offer enough resistance, they'll go plague a Harani village.
