NPC:/angry Lord Asaji gave me the ring as a gift after the king passed away.
NPC:/dialogue He must have known I was suspicious of my grandfather's untimely death, and hoped the ring would kill me as well.
NPC:/talk So I removed the ring and fled the palace, hoping to find some way to prove Lord Asaji's guilt. That's when he arranged for the Arcane Academy to capture me.
NPC:/dialogue I'm sure he would have let me rot here forever if you hadn't come along. But with my freedom, and these few guards still loyal to the true king, you've given me a second chance to expose Asaji's treachery.
NPC:/dialogue Please take the ring. It was a powerful artifact once, before the curse that now afflicts it. If you can find a way to restore it, I'm sure it will be able to help your friend.
