Use Sturdy Insect Shells to craft Barkbridge Shoes, Feuille Sound Boots, or Sandcloud Sabatons.

You will need three Blue Salt Wedges to craft the desired item. They can be purchased from a General Merchant.

Kill the Giant Warrior Ants and Vicious Rockscale Twinhead Vipers around Sandcloud to collect Sturdy Insect Shells.

Pieces of improvised armor can be crafted using the Worn Armor Forms found in Royster's Camp and Sandcloud.
