NPC:/conclude They're designed to draw energy from the hay they're stuffed with. If we could get some old, trampled hay and stuff them with that instead, they'd still work as scarecrows, but they wouldn't have the energy to speak!
NPC:/excuse I think there's still some piles of Trampled Haystacks in the fields to the West. Just wander around until you find one, and then bring me some Old Hay so we can see if it works.
