NPC:/command Well done! Now take your Ice Fishing Rod, find a decent hunk of ice to use as a chair, and throw a line down one of those Fishing Holes.

NPC:/dialogue Ice fishing doesn't require any special skills, but you do need patience and a bit of luck. You can catch some fresh arctic seafood, or even fish up bags of treasure that were lost beneath the ice!

NPC:/command One last thing: if you happen to catch any Young Smelts, be sure to bring them back to me and I'll reward you with a few festival coins. /scratch We have a strict catch-and-release policy for those, to make sure there's always enough fish left for next year. Now get out there and get fishing!

Once unwrapped, an Ice Fishing Rod can be used for 10 minutes. No bait is required.

Young Smelts and other fishing rewards can't be obtained if your bag is full.
