NPC:/fact My father managed to protect me, but not before that thing snatched up my mother and dragged her into the waves. My father swore revenge, and has been hunting it ever since.

NPC:I've been moving from job to job, trying to earn enough to support us. But he refuses to leave the shore. He's obsessed, wading out into the waves each year to try and kill that thing.

NPC:He's studied the tides, and he's convinced the creature will reappear within the next few days. But he's been trying for so long, and he's getting on in years. I fear he'll die if he fights that beast again.

NPC:/talk You know the risks of battle. Could you go to the inlet, just south of the Excavation Site, and meet my father? Maybe you can convince him to give up this insane quest of his.
